Introduction
Established at Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences with the goal of qualitative and quantitative improvement of research in the field of digestive diseases, the liver, and digestive research center was officially opened in October 2006 after being approved by the research council of the university. The center seeks to perform research on liver and digestive diseases from various molecular dimensions to epidemiological aspects. In this regard, the center accepts the contributions made by all professors and experts in different fields that are related to liver and digestive diseases and all beneficiaries in the research field.
Research Lines
1. Studies on gastrointestinal tumors and its related risk factors in Sanandaj region and Kurdistan province.
2. The effect of herbal remedies and herbal remedies on fatty liver disease.
3. Evaluation of the effect of herbal remedies and herbal remedies on gastrointestinal cancers
4. Studies on Helicobacter pylori
5. Novel methods of diagnosis and treatment in gastrointestinal and liver diseases
6. Studies on gastroesophageal reflux
7. Studies on upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding and its risk factors
8. Studies on gastric ulcer and its risk factors
9. Studies on viral hepatitis and its risk factors
10. Studies on irritable bowel syndrome
11. Studies on the effects of medication regimens and treatments on the eradication of Helicobacter pylori
